Homebuyer Counseling and Education is an exciting service that will support you in being a smart homebuyer and a sustainable homeowner!
Step 1: Enroll online or attend one of our Orientations in person to learn more.
Step 2: Meet with our Mortgage Readiness Specialist to complete a customized assessment based on current lending criteria.
Step 3: Work with a counselor to project a timeline of how long it may take through an affordability analysis.
Step 4: Graduate and achieve mortgage readiness.
We will issue you a Graduate Letter. A Certificate of Completion is issued once your Counselor has reviewed the Good Faith Estimate, Sales Contract, and Truth in Lending Statement. The Counselor reviews these documents as your ‘back up’ – looking for any red flags, and ensuring that you are comfortable understanding the information on these documents.
